The National Inspection Standards Institute was born out of necessity. With governmental bodies not able to instill confidence in the industry and clients, our approach is to set a high but attainable standard while while inspectors stay accountable.

We recognize the frustration with inspection reports with their wide variety of what is included and format. This has created a lack of confidence with clients which has limited avenues for future clientele. It is our hope that confidence in inspectors, the inspection, and inspection reports is regained through strict, high standards.

We understand that the driving forces in construction and real estate are efficiency, longevity, and affordability.  While the construction industry strives for these, we stay ahead of the changes made to ensure the balance is met without sacrifice to function, safety, cost, or longevity.

Keeping up with technologies is important as they can increase the ability to be more thorough and accurate while not being more invasive.  Our inspection standards include technologies as ground and aerial drones, thermal technologies, temperature and relative humidity sensors, and remote viewing equipment.

Although our standards are modeled off of modern code such as NFPA and IRC and standards such as ASTM, our inspections standards are based off understanding the components and systems to understand its function, safety, and how it can influence other components and systems.  It is important for to ensure that licensed inspectors understand the nature of materials, thermodynamics, electrical theory, and hydronics to name a few.

We understand the given purpose to inspectors is give objective information for clients others to accurately assess value of real estate property.  Our reporting Real Estate Inspection and Real Estate Inspection Reporting Standards is the highest in the industry.  Our reporting standard accurately reflects the inspection standard to ensure that all questions are answered objectively without bias.
